Boys defeat Lampasas 61-29
Heading back on the road after defeating Lampasas 61- 29 Tuesday evening, the Fredericksburg High School varsity boys’ basketball team will travel to the Canyon Lake tournament Thursday through Saturday.
The Billies will then travel to Hondo Tuesday night for a 7:30 p.m. tipoff before taking a break for Christmas. FHS will then host their annual varsity tournament Dec. 26-28.
FHS went 2-4 against 4A and 5A competition over the weekend at the Marble Falls tournament.
FHS 61, Lampasas 29
Fredericksburg dominated from the outset, taking a 23-point lead after the first quarter on their way to a 61-29 home victory over Lampasas Tuesday.
“The first quarter was one of the best quarters I have ever seen a Billies team play. We executed offensively, hit shots and had good ball movement to find the open man,” Fredericksburg head coach Tim Kaman said. “We were not as crisp the second half on offense, but kept up the defensive intensity all night.”
