Heritage girls defeat Ingram 41-39
A 41-39 overtime victory at home against Ingram highlighted the past week for the Heritage School girls’ varsity basketball team.
The game was played in the gymnasium at First Baptist Church.
The Lady Eagles will next play Grace Academy on Tuesday, Dec. 3, in Kerrville. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
Lady Eagles top Ingram
Kami Jones blistered the nets for 30 points to lead Heritage past visiting Ingram High School last Friday by a score of 41-39 in overtime.
Also scoring points for the Lady Eagles were Abby Sauer (with eight), Jamie Hoermann (two) and Claire Pedregon (one).
In addition, Jones topped her team in assists (with two), steals (nine) and rebounds (eight).
After jumping out to a 24-13 advantage at halftime, Heritage saw Ingram cut into the lead by outscoring the Lady Eagles 10-8 in the third. The Lady Warriors then went on a scoring binge, outdueling Heritage to the tune of 13-4 in the fourth to tie the score at 36-36, forcing the extra playing time.
