Entries being taken in Century 21 yard decorating contest
Century 21 Sunset, Realtors will be sponsoring its annual Christmas Yard Decorating Contest.
Fredericksburg residents who would like to enter their home in the contest can get entry forms from a variety of sources including:
•In person at Century 21 Sunset, Realtors at 408 West Main Street.
•Online at www.Century21SunsetRealtors.com.
•By email at email@example.com.
•From the Century 21 Sunset, Realtors Facebook page.
•In the advertisement found in the Fredericksburg Standard-Radio Post.
All applications are due in the office by 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13.
The completed entries can be mailed, faxed or hand-delivered with the name, address and category to Century 21 Sunset, Realtors, 408 West Main Street, Fredericksburg, TX 78624; faxed to 830-997-2400 or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Prizes will be awarded to one home in each of the following three categories: Santa’s Favorite, Christmas Elegance and Best Religious Display.
The Christmas Elegance award will be given to the home that has the best evening/night display.
The Best Religious Display will be awarded to the home that displays the true religious root of Christmas. Over 50 percent of the decorations must be religious to qualify.
The Santa’s Favorite award will be given to the home that best captures the true spirit of the Christmas holidays.
Winners will be announced Dec. 16 by yard signs, on the radio, on www.Century21SunsetRealtors.com and at the Century 21 office located at 408 West Main Street.
Prizes will be awarded later.
Pictures of the winning homes will be published in the Fredericksburg Standard-Radio Post.
Addresses of the entries will be submitted to the newspaper so other residents can travel through town to see the best lighting displays.
The Christmas Home Decorating Contest is limited to residents within the city limits and up to one mile outside the city limits who have entered by 5 p.m. on Dec. 13.
Judging for all homes will be Dec. 15 from 7-9 p.m.
All entered homes will have their displays lighted at this time. Entrants must keep their displays set up and lit each evening until Jan. 1.
