Harper boys earn win in season opener

Harper High School’s boys’ varsity basketball team picked up a 63-39 home victory last night, Nov. 19, after holding off a second quarter rally by visiting Leakey.

Trailing 25-24 at the half, the Longhorns blew open the game with a 24-8 run in the third period to secure the win.

Next, Harper will host Knippa on Friday, Nov. 22, at 6 p.m. The ’Horns will then travel to San Saba Tuesday, Nov. 26, for a junior varsity contest set to tip-off at 5 p.m., followed by the varsity game at 6:30 p.m.
