Fredericksburg City Council on Monday night postponed taking action on a proposed parking ordinance and are expected to hold a public hearing on the issue in January. Additionally, they received presentations on the waste water treatment plant and Complete Streets project.

Registration for current students is under way for the spring semester at Texas Tech University at Fredericksburg and Highland Lake. A variety of classes for readmit, transfer, high school and non-degree-seeking students are being offered. Open registration starts Nov. 26. "Word for Beginners" will be offered starting today and continuing through Thursday by the Fredericksburg Independent School District's Community Education. The class will take place from 2-4 p.m. at Fredericksburg Elementary School.

Fredericksburg High School boys' basketball teams will be hosting Ingram tonight in the FHS Gym to open their season. The freshmen play at 5 p.m., the JV at 6:15 p.m. and the varsity at 7:30 p.m.
FHS varsity and JV girls' basketball teams were in Ingram on Monday night. The FHS varsity came out on top, 59-27, and the JV defeated Ingram, 29-22.
Playing in the Cedar Creek Invitational at Wolfdancer Golf Club on Monday, the FHS varsity boys finished third.
Harper boys' basketball is playing at Leakey tonight to open their season. The JV plays at 4 p.m. and the varsity at 5:15 p.m.
Harper girls' basketball teams will be on the road to Llano tonight. The JV plays at 5 p.m. and the varsity at 6:15 p.m.
