Heritage volleyball wins first round playoff match

The Heritage Lady Eagles volleyball team dominated the action against Waxahachie Preparatory School on the road Tuesday night to win the bi-district round of the TAPPS 1A playoffs.

After taking the first game by a 25-12 margin, Heritage continued its barrage to win the second contest, 25-17, then taking the match by defeating WPS in the third contest, 25-8.

Full details, including individual scoring, will appear in next week’s issue of the Standard-Radio Post.

The Lady Eagles will continue in the post-season by traveling to San Marcos Hill Country Christian School on Saturday. Starting time has not yet been determined.

In action on Thursday, Oct. 24, Heritage defeated Towneast in San Antonio in five games, 25-10, 21-25, 23-25, 25-17, 15-8.
