Heritage volleyball wins pair

The Heritage School volleyball team picked up a pair of victories and suffered a loss during the past week. One of the wins came over district opponent Cornerstone in San Angelo on Saturday, Oct. 19, (25-20, 25-23, 20-25, 25-12). The other victory occurred Monday, Oct. 21, at Kerrville Grace Academy (25-3, 25-12, 25-15).
The Lady Eagles, however, also suffered a four-game loss last night — Tuesday, Oct. 22, — at Sonora. The scores of that match were 22-25, 25-18, 19-25, 19-25.
Details from the Monday and Tuesday competitions will appear in next week’s edition of the Fredericksburg Standard-Radio Post.
In addition to the most recent action, the Lady Eagles dropped a four-game decision at San Antonio Gateway on Oct. 15 — 24-26, 25-14, 24-26, 18-25.
With the playoffs nearing, Heritage will end its regular season tomorrow night (Oct. 26) when it travels to Towneast in San Antonio, starting at 6 p.m.
