Heritage football falls to Boerne Geneva
By Danny Hirt —
This week’s open date arrives at a perfect time for the Heritage School varsity six-man football team after suffering a 48-0 thumping at the hands of host Boerne Geneva on Friday, Oct. 18.
Sporting a 2-1 Division II District 4 TAPPS 1A record (and 5-3 overall), the Eagles will return to league action Nov. 1 when they host San Antonio New Life on what’s known as Flight Night. From there, Heritage will travel to Selma Believers for the final game of the regular season on Nov. 8
Both contests will start at 7:30 p.m.
“The off week comes at a good time for us,” said the Eagles’ head coach Tim Shipman. “We have been working hard since early August and these guys need a little time to refresh before the second season.”
