Hill Country Memorial voted as an 'America's Best Hospital'

Hill Country Memorial has received the 2013 Women’s Choice Award as one of America’s Best Hospitals for patient experience as well as obstetrics by women.

According to a spokesperson for “WomenCertified,” this distinction is the only award that identifies the country’s best healthcare institutions based on criteria that consider what women say they want from a hospital.

“These criteria include quality physician communications, responsiveness of nurses and support staff, cleanliness, and referrals from other women,” said Delia Passi, CEO and founder of WomenCertified. “Recognizing the best hospitals nationwide that align with women’s identified preferences is important to our mission, and helps other women with consumer decisions.”

Awards are based on surveys of thousands of women, as well as university research on what drives the consumer experience for women. Hospitals named as America’s Best are invited to join an elite network of brands that carry the Women’s Choice Award, symbolizing their commitment to women.

“We are honored to be one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for patient experience and for our women’s services,” said Jayne Pope, Hill Country Memorial CEO. “The Women’s Choice Award highlights the work of our values-driven team, our remarkable care, and our vision: ‘Empower others. Create healthy.’”
