Early voting begins Monday

Nine proposed constitutional amendments, plus a local expanded beer and wine sales county proposition, will be on the ballot when early voting by personal appearance begins Monday, Oct. 21, at the Gillespie County Courthouse ahead of the Nov. 5 general election.

Early voting will continue through Friday, Nov. 1, and will take place in the county commissioners’ courtroom from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

A non-partisan League of Women Voters of Texas Voters Guide is included in this edition. The section outlines the nine propositions, and presents arguments for and against each. A sample ballot will appear in next week’s newspaper.

An opportunity for weekend voting will be held Saturday, Oct. 26, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the courthouse, and again from 1-3 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 27.
