Heritage football dominates in win

Three first quarter touchdowns helped Heritage School gain early control of last Friday night’s six-man football action at New Braunfels Christian Academy as the Eagles marched on to a 52-20 non-district victory.
Heritage will return to TAPPS District 4-1A Division II play on Friday, Oct. 11, when it travels to San Antonio New Life. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
Eagles beat New Braunfels Christian
Joe Meek led all runners with 175 yards on 16 rushes, scoring four touchdowns along the way to Heritage’s 52-20 victory of New Braunfels Christian Academy Friday evening.
Teammate Chad Johnson added another 132 ground yards on his 14 carries. Johnson also ran for a TD and passed for another one.
Meek got the Eagles on the scoreboard first when he zig-zagged his way through the New Braunfels Christian defense on a 25-yard run to pay-dirt with 5:12 left in the opening quarter.
Jacob Huser connected on the point-after conversion, putting Heritage up by an 8-0 score. For the game, Huser booted all six PAT attempts.
