Harper girls finish third at home cross country meet

Harper’s varsity and junior high school girls’ teams both earned third place finishes in the Jacob Krebs Cross Country Invitational meet held Saturday morning, Sept. 14, on the school’s course.
The Longhorn boys’ varsity squad captured eighth place in its classification, while the junior high boys took ninth position.
The high school runners will next compete in this Saturday’s meet to be held at the University of Texas in San Antonio. From there, the school will compete in the Fredericksburg cross country competition on Saturday, Sept. 28.
Taylor Reid put in the fastest time for the Harper varsity girls, finishing the course in 13:36 for 17th place.
Other Ladyhorn runners who took part in the race included Sydney Collins (13:41, 19th), Hope Dillon (13:42, 20th), Kayla Inmon (13:43, 22nd), Payton Reid (13:44, 23rd), Rebekah Lester (14:01, 37th), Mikinna Richards (14:36, 56th), Emily Richards (14:51, 64th), Kristen Harper (16:58, 125th), Emily Giedeman (17:23, 132nd), and Jennell Rogers (17:24, 134th).
