Grand jury indicts woman on felony murder charge

A 42-year-old local woman is facing murder charges for the May 26 shooting death of her husband at their residence in Harper.

Expected to be in custody at the end of today, Sept. 18, is Aimee Elizabeth Bowlin, after she was indicted by the Gillespie County Grand Jury Monday, Sept. 16, on a first-degree felony murder charge.

According to Lt. Brian Pehl, of the Gillespie County Sheriff’s Office, Bowlin will be held under a $150,000 bond after she was reported to be turning herself in to the authorities. Pre-trial and arraignment hearings are tentatively set for Oct. 17, Pehl said.

Bowlin is accused of using a Glock .45 caliber handgun to shoot her husband, Michael G. Bowlin, 45, at their home at 460 Kristen Lane near Harper back on Sunday, May 26.
