Classes in session for all county schools
By Richard Zowie —
Fredericksburg Independent School District and other area schools are now once again in full swing, as the Labor Day holiday and its famous telethon are done for the year, and it is once again time for “fashion experts” to advise against wearing white.
Previously, the Fredericksburg Standard reported estimated school enrollments before classes began and then the enrollments reported on the first day of school. Now, here are the enrollment numbers for area schools — most of which have now been in school for a week:
Fredericksburg Independent School District
Fredericksburg High School has 955 students, compared to 935 on the first day of school. Fredericksburg Middle School now has 623 students, an increase of 16 from the beginning of school.
At the elementary school there are 971 students, an increase of 21 from the first day.
Fredericksburg Primary School has 256 students, or six more than the first day. Stonewall Elementary School has 109, the same as it had the first day.
