“Outstanding” could very well be the title for the 125th chapter in the history of the Gillespie County Fair.
Officials with the sponsoring Gillespie County Fair and Festivals Association spent the last two years planning and coordinating events and activities to appeal to everyone when the 125th Gillespie County Fair was celebrated Thursday through Sunday.
Edward Stroeher, president of the fair association, said he feels like the 125th celebration was just that — outstanding.
“This will be a memorable fair for many years to come,” Stroeher said, adding that “everyone can be proud to be a part of it.”
Looking back, he said, “Sometimes the committees and all involved were stretched pretty thin getting everything ready, but it makes all of the hard work and planning worthwhile when people come out and enjoy the fair.”
Stroeher said that he has heard many good comments about the fair.
He applauded the directors, their families and community members for doing their part in making the 125th fair a success.
