MRS. RAYMOND TATSCH

Mrs. Raymond Tatsch, 81, nee Martha Lindig of Fredericksburg, died Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Aug. 22, at 10:30 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church with the Reverends Elliott Pancoast, Casey Zesch and Travis Meyer officiating.

Interment followed at Greenwood Cemetery.

Arrangements were under the direction of Fredericksburg Funeral Home where visitation was held Wednesday evening and Thursday morning.

Mrs. Tatsch was born July 10, 1932, in Gillespie County, the daughter of Erwin L. Lindig and Erna E. Armke Lindig. She married Raymond Tatsch on Sept. 3, 1949, in Trinity Lutheran Church at Stonewall. He preceded her in death.

Years ago, she worked at the Winn’s store, was a nurse’s aide, and she and her husband owned and operated The Organic Garden Center.

She was also active at church, serving with the Women of the Church, on the church council and was a Sunday school teacher. She also sang with the Frauen Verein and was a member of the Grandmothers’ Club.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Ruth Ann and Terry Wunderlich of San Antonio, and a son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Nancey Tatsch of Fredericksburg; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by a sister, Erna Ugolni of Madrid, Iowa, and a sister-in-law, Audrey, Mrs. Kermit Grona of Fredericksburg.

In addition to husband and parents, Mrs. Tatsch was preceded in death by three sisters, Irene Neuse, Evelyn Sharp and Ruth Lindig.

Memorials may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church, Meals on Wheels, Fredericksburg Volunteer Fire Department, the American Heart Association or to the charity of choice.

Pallbearers included Kris Tatsch, Whitney Tatsch, Troy Wunderlich, Dennis Tatsch, Brenda Beaty, Marlin Grona, Cass Phillips and Kenneth Lindig.
