Heritage volleyball defeats OLH
By Danny Hirt —
The Lady Eagles from Heritage School picked up their second victory in as many outings Friday evening, topping Our Lady of the Hills in five games.
The match was played at Fredericksburg’s First Baptist Church.
Heritage continues its season this weekend with a slate of games in the Austin Waldorf Tournament. The Lady Eagles will play at 7 p.m. on Friday, then return to the courts for a pair of Saturday matches at 11:15 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The hosts fell behind early in last week’s action against OLH, dropping two of the first three games (20-25, 25-19 and 18-25), before dominating the final two contests by scores of 25-12 and 15-7.
“The first three games of the match were not our best so far,” said Heritage head coach Carol Bell. “We managed to scramble a win on the second game, but missed serves, hitting errors, and lack of hustle contributed to two game losses in the match.”
