CALVIN DAVID MOEHLE

Calvin David Moehle, 86, of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013.

A funeral mass was held Tuesday, Aug. 6, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Msgr. Enda McKenna officiating. Mary Murchison was the pianist and Annette Whittington was the vocalist.

Entombment followed in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum.

Arrangements were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home where a vigil service and visitation was held on Monday, Aug. 5.

Moehle was born March 2, 1927, in Gillespie County to David H. Moehle and Ella T. Hohmann Moehle. He married Shirley A. Loth on July 18, 1954, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church and she survives.

In addition to his wife, Moehle is survived by one daughter, two sons and their spouses including Michael and Corrie Moehle of Fredericksburg, Patrick Moehle of Amarillo and Trisha Icke of Wylie; four grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by one sister, Jewell P. Stehling of Kerrville; a sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law with spouses, Leroy and Lilly Loth of Hallettsville, David and Janet Loth of Fredericksburg and Mary and Nelson Cavin of Schertz.

Moehle was preceded in death by his parents; a son-in-law, Rickey Icke, and two sisters, Ruby Molberg and Louise Bernier.

Memorials may be made to the St. Joseph’s Halle Restoration Fund, the St. Mary’s Parish Capital Campaign or to the charity of choice.

Pallbearers were Kevin Maurer, Dustin Gant, Douglas Doliv, Chris Tindall, Calvin Moehle II and John Epps.
