Livestock judging begins Saturday
While the 125th Gillespie County Fair may still be two weeks away, livestock judging gets an early start this weekend at the Gillespie County Fair Grounds.
Three livestock competitions are planned for the Show Barn, including the Meat Goat Futurity on Saturday and a Lamb Futurity along with the Gillespie County Race Day Classic Steer Show on Sunday.
Judging will take place in the Show Barn at the Gillespie County Fair Grounds.
Award presentations are scheduled as part of each show.
In addition to the livestock judging this weekend, there will also be live pari-mutuel horse racing on both Saturday and Sunday as part of the Gillespie County Race Meet.
The horse racing and livestock shows are sponsored by the Gillespie County Fair and Festivals Association.
