A nod to female veterans and a swinging set of World War II-era music highlighted the free patriotic program that followed the Fourth of July parade on Thursday at Marktplatz.
Lt. Cmdr. Michele Maasberg gave the keynote address, and discussed her service as a Navy Combat Search and Rescue helicopter pilot in Kosovo, Iraq, Afghanistan, Haiti and European Theaters.
