Oklahoma!” — the Fredericksburg Theater Company’s summer musical — will open  Friday evening at the Steve W. Shepherd Theater, located at 1668 U.S. Highway 87 South.

Performances, which continue through July 14, will be held Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. with Sunday matinees at 2 p.m.

A special children’s performance will be held Saturday, July 6, at 10 a.m. General admission tickets for this performance will be available at the door beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Children will be admitted for $1 with adults 18 and older for $5. All adults must be accompanied by children.

“FTC gives back to the community in many ways,” executive director Julie Voorhees said. “One of those ways is by offering this special children’s performance for those who may not be able to afford regular priced tickets. This performance is also for families who may be hesitant to bring younger children to a regular because they are concerned that they may disturb other patrons.”
