All-Stars leap out to quick tournament start

Tournament action for Fredericksburg Youth Baseball Association players is in full swing as the Intermediate (50/70) baseball, Minor baseball, Major softball and Minor softball competed in the early rounds of their tournaments.
Fredericksburg is playing host to Minor baseball, Major softball, Junior softball and Minor softball tournaments.
The Fredericksburg All-star Intermediate (50/70) team played against Wimberley in their district tournament. Fredericksburg swept the best of three series with a 15-0 game on Friday and a 14-2 win on Saturday.
During the Friday game, home runs came from Tate Hansen, Aiden McCullough and Jose Vivores. T.J. Tomlinson pitched the entire game.
The teams played again on Saturday with Wimberley facing elimination. Wimberley was able to muster a couple of runs, but it was not enough to overcome Fredericksburg’s all-stars.
