LBJ Ranch to host 'Movies Under the Stars'
Keeping with the tradition of President Lyndon Baines Johnson showing movies at the airplane hangar on his ranch near Stonewall, officials at Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park will host Movies Under the Stars, with the first screening this Saturday.
Workers will screen “The Love Bug” on Saturday, June 1 in the field near the hangar on the LBJ Ranch, and the community is invited, said Barbara Sagebiel, chief of interpretation.
Ranch gates open at 7 p.m. and the film will begin near dusk. The event is free to the public.
Participants are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and snacks. Portable restrooms and hand-washing stations will be available.
