Durst’s College Team To World Series

Bradley Durst, son of Elgin and Kim Durst of Fredericksburg, and his baseball team, the Angelo State University Rams, have qualified for the NCAA division two College World Series.
The tournament will take place at the Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery, AL, May 26-June 2.
The Rams earned a place at the tournament with a win at the Lone Star Conference tournament in Abilene the first week of May. Durst started six games in right field and batted .333.
The Rams then went on to win the south central region tournament in Arkedelphia, AK, where Durst pitched eight innings in relief, allowing three runs and picking up one save against West Florida.
The teams’ record is 50 wins, 18 losses.
The Rams’ first game in the World Series is set for 1 p.m. on May 26 against Franklin Pierce University.
